Woaf is dead. Long live the Woaf.
After five interesting years Woaf Tech ceased to trade in August 2004. The network that we'd built, and most of the commercial customers were transferred to Low Cost Host Ltd. Thanks to Phil at LCHost some of the old Woaf Tech hardware, including dog (the shell server) has continued to exist under the control of the old Woaf Tech crew and provides free shell and web hosting to anyone fortunate enough not to have upset us enough to get their accounts terminated.

Woaf Tech Ltd is no longer taking on customers. For colocation, IP transit, and other services on the AS25098 network please visit Low Cost Host Ltd.
Those people who still have accounts hosted on Woaf Tech servers can probably locate an admin on IRC (irc.quakenet.org #woaftech.) Please be aware that we all have real jobs these days, so you may not get an immediate response.
Breakages
We're currently phasing out a load of old Woaf Tech hardware that we promised LCHost we'd remove from their racks about 2 years ago (oopse.) This might cause breakage for some victims. If we do manage to break something please let us know on IRC.
DNS
We've just removed our old primary name server from service and pruned any old zone files that we didn't think were in use. If you were using our name servers by a name that wasn't in the woaf.net domain then we've probably broken things for you. It's also possible we might have deleted some live zones by accident.
We've migrated mail from mx0 to dog. This shouldn't have affected most people. If your mail password was stored in the wrong format for our new system then you wont be able to login. Use the mail admin system (https://www.woaf.net/) to change your password and it'll start working again. If you told pop3 to keep the mail on the server then we've just nuked it. We can mail you the spool file if you really want it. The new mail system is Cyrus, so there's now IMAP4 support (yay.) If you have any problems then poke us on IRC.
